This painting, inspired by my sister's pet and the neighbors' cat that I watched in their absence, is looking outside at all the possibilities for adventure.  Not by accident, the decor inside this house mirrors my own, as I put myself inside this cat's mind while painting.  There isn't a screen on that window blocking the cat's access to life in the wild.  Yet she teeters on the ledge of uncertainty while contemplating life "out there" that seems bright and full of promise.
 
Created with layers of heavy acrylic paint and coated with a protective varnish, this 20"x24"x1.5" piece has a special place in my heart and currently hangs in my studio.
